Greater priority access to COVID-19 vaccine for people with a learning disability

Following the 2nd December announcement from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) on the vaccine priority list, Mencap is calling for greater priority access for people with a learning disability.

Former Chief Medical Officer For England (Dame Sally) believes that “We have a clear sight of who is at most risk and I would think that they (people with learning disabilities) should be included in the prioritisation of vaccines.

The first wave of the vaccine for COVID-19 was given out yesterday.
